notes
Telephone lines in Slovakia are very reliable. Voicemail is not commonly used in homes and offices; however, most Slovaks own a cell phone where messages can be left. There are many public telephones throughout the cities that accept either coins or cards. Card-operated telephones are becoming the norm. Phone cards for public and cell phones are sold at newspaper stands. Free emergency-only phones are found along the highways.
