There are a total of 900 payphones on the SPTC
Network of which 250 are combi phones (blue), which take both card and
coin; 300 are card phones (orange) and 350 are coin phones (grey). The
coin phones are currently being converted into combi phones.
Global269 calls can be made from card phones and most
combi phones. Card and combi phones are ILD enabled.
Global269 calls cannot be made from coin phones.
When making a +269 call the payphone display will
show “Free Call”
